Slip two or three mounting bolts on the water pump to align your new pump onto the mounting surface of the engine block. This will stop sliding the pump on the engine surface to align the bolt holes and smearing the adhesive. The third thing that you have to do is to uncover the alternator mounting brackets. Then you must loosen them to get rid of the drive belts. To unfasten them, you can use sockets with the acceptable size and lift them away. Then, you should clear any clutter or accessories out of the water pump's path. Then, you must access it by removing the pulley, fan and fan shroud of the engine.
